Rennard Eric's Story
Life
Hmmm...It's been almost 20 years since I graduated high school and I have to say I have had a blast (well most of it). After leaving North Central and attending I.U. for a year I had an opportunity to "break-out", "Break-free", "Cut loose", "Run like Hell", "Get the _____ out of Dodge" you get the picture. And what a great decision that was. I left Indiana in 1990 and relocated to Chicago, IL to travel the US and Canada and compete in an activity called Drum Corp International as a member of the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps. Yes I still love marching bands and colorguards. Shortly thereafter I found myself on a train across the country to Vancouver, BC for love which ended before I even got there. On my way back from Vancouver I stopped in Seattle, Washington were I stayed and studied dance at a Cornish Conservatory for the Arts. the beginning.I relocated back to Indy for 8 months got a job performing in Texas were I lived for 3 years. It was in Texas I decided to try New York city where I have lived for the past 15 years. With some resonable sucess in the industry I was blessed to not only make a living doing what I love but also got to travel the world performing in several Broadway productions such as "Smokey Joe's Cafe","Five Guys Named Moe", "Dreamgirls", "Once on this Island" and a few others I'd care to not mention. Well and then therewa 911 which was not only emotionally devasting but financially devasting especially to the entertainment industry. Fighting to survive in the post 911 economy I decided to persue a "real-job", whatever that is. So now I am working in NYC was a Banker now working for a Publishing Company and back in school studying interior design and determined to get that Degree. Ain't life grand? Well it certainly is not on my terms.
